Connection problems are common with any Bluetooth or app-connected device. Before assuming the product is defective, separate the local device connection from the internet connection used for remote control.
First confirm local pairing
Make sure the phone can control the device while both are nearby. If local control does not work, remote partner control will not work either. Restart Bluetooth, confirm the battery is charged and follow the manufacturer’s pairing steps exactly.
Check app permissions
Bluetooth permissions may need to be enabled in phone settings. On some operating systems, background restrictions can also interrupt connections when the screen locks.
Then test the internet side
If local control works but partner control does not, check both phones’ internet connections and whether the invitation or partner session is still active. Some apps require both users to remain signed in.
Update the app and device firmware
Compatibility issues can appear after phone operating-system updates. Use current app versions and install device firmware updates when the maker provides them.
Reset only when necessary
A factory reset may remove pairings and settings. Use it after simpler steps fail and only with the manufacturer’s instructions.
